# 5 Decades of Staffing Delight - 1990s

[Over the past 50 years](https://resources.sparksgroupinc.com/fifty-years-of-experience-fifty-years-of-excellence), Sparks Group provided staffing and recruiting services to fill critical recruitment needs with local employers across [information technology](https://sparksgroupinc.com/our-divisions-2/information-technology/), [accounting and finance](https://sparksgroupinc.com/our-divisions/sparks-accounting-finance/), [office and administrative](https://sparksgroupinc.com/our-divisions/sparks-office/), and [creative](https://sparksgroupinc.com/our-divisions/creative-and-marketing/) areas of expertise. Over the past five decades, we’ve followed the hiring market closely and how it affected employment, and used that insight to develop talent acquisition strategies that help organizations recruit and retain niche talent that support their growth goals.

## Utilizing Applicant Tracking System Technology

In 1992, Sparks Personnel implemented its first applicant tracking system (ATS) to better serve employers with efficient, in-house talent acquisition tools. The electronic recruitment technology collects and filters thousands of resumes to more efficiently provide recruiters with a pool of qualified applicants.
